CHALLENGE

The cumbersome online permit request process frustrated citizens, leading to a high volume of daily help desk calls. System limitations required manual workarounds for submitting and searching requests. Legacy system outages and performance issues further caused significant permitting delays.

SOLUTION

The online permit request process was updated with easier registration and navigation. Citizens were enabled to upload multiple file formats via web or mobile. Integration with GIS (geographic information system) allowed for plotting specific areas of permit requests. Customizable dashboards were implemented for staff to efficiently manage permits.
